31-Day (Or Something Like That) Nail Challenge- Day 1

Hi! So the queen of lagger bloggers (that would be me) is back! How has everyone been? Life has just been kicking my butt lately, but I'm still hanging in there.

So, I'm in a group on Facebook and we have gotten together to do a 31-day nail challenge. I got some swatches done but not even close to enough for the whole month and I was starting to stress myself out about it. And since the point of me doing it was for fun I was just going to scrap the whole thing. But then one of the girls suggested that I just do what I can and don't stress about it so that's what I decided to do. So here we go!

Day 1 is red nails. I love red nails but it just isn't something I wear very often; I usually like "edgier" colors. The red I chose was a pretty recent acquisition for me; Revlon Scarlet Letter blacker lacquer from the Dark Pleasures line. It came out years and years ago and I bought every polish except the red one. Of course, later I was kicking myself for not getting it and a few months ago I randomly came across it on a blog sale and snatched it up! So, here's the bottle pic:

I love the square bottles! For one thing, they're just easier and more convenient to store. And they just look really cool in my opinion.

Scarlet Letter is a deep, darkened, shimmery red. Even though it is an older polish I didn't have any issues with application at all. It was still smooth and applied perfectly in 2 coats. Maybe I'll do a post with the whole line; they are such pretty colors and I love them all.

But, in case anyone is wondering what the whole 31-day challenge looks like; here it is:

Like I said, I'll do what I can when I can. I'll probably do everything from here at some point, I just don't know if it will be within the August time frame. But it will be fun nonetheless. In case you want to check out any of the other blogs doing the challenge there are links at the bottom.

'Til we meet again...
Rebecca  :)
